He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Swartz and Miriam M. Swartz. He is survived by: his sister Roberta A. Skelly (John R.) of Ironton, Ohio; his niece Teresa Kuehne (Matthew) of Portsmouth, Ohio; and his great-nieces, Anna C., Sara G. and Ella R. Kuehne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nankin Community Church.
