He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Otto and Anna Mary Merrill (Bott); his former wife Patricia Parish; his wife Patricia Merrill; and his siblings, John, Leo, Eugene, Kenneth, Donald Merrill, Evelyn Fox, Ruth Sas and Marcelline Nicholy.
He is survived by: his fiancée Ramona Martin of Arlington, OH; and his children, Tony Merrill (Joetta) of Findlay, OH, Bev Counts (Vinnie), Thomas Merrill (Paige), Michelle Martin, Michael Martin (Amy), Mandy Lay (Brian), Genoa and Mari Mahler (Nick). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and sevem great grandchildren.
