He was predeceased by: his sister Jean Shellenbarger. He is survived by: his parent Wilbur "Midge"; his significant other Nellie Ward; his children, Deb, Ewing of Findlay, Dean Branan of Arlington, Dennis Branan (Chris) of Dunkirk, Jean Spaeth (Joe) of Jenera and Jeff Branan of Arlington; his grandchildren, Midge, Angie, Laura, Leisa, Leana, Jon, Anthony, Brantt and Luke; his sister Mildred Fink of Cincinnati; and also, Helen Branan (Hosafros) and Dennis.
