He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert R. Russell and Durea Russell (Clevenger). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Pifer Russell; his children, Derek Russell (Lisa) of Arlington, Dustin Russell of Arlington and Devin Launder (Jan) of Findlay; his grandchildren, Kyle Russell (Rebeccah) of Findlay, Carter Russell (Jeslyn) of Findlay, Riley Launder of Findlay and Alyssa Launder of Findlay; his great grandchildren, Lincoln and Olivia Russell of Findlay; and his brothers, Ronald Russell (Jackie) of Rock Hill, SC, Rodney Russell (Julia) of Findlay and Rolland Russell (Susan) of Findlay. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crates Funeral Home (620 N Main St, Arlington, OH 45814). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
During his treatments, Roger's heart went out to the many children battling cancer, so he requested donations be directed to St. Jude Children' Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929 or any cancer agency of donor's choice.
