She was predeceased by: her parents, Winfred J. "Fritz" and Thelma C. Lauber (Shibler); and her brother Roger Lauber. She is survived by: her husband Merrill L. Short; her children, Maribeth Gable (Todd) of Delphos, Michelle Miller (Mark) of Okeana and Michael Short (Jessica); her grandchildren, Alyssa Shelton (Alec), Zachary (Asya Hamilton), Isaac, Nathan Gable, Dylan, Dalton, Shelby Miller, Mackenzie Beckmeyer (Zachary), Katelyn, Abigail and Madeline Short; her great grandchild Sylvia Beckmeyer; and her siblings, Rollin Lauber, Sam Lauber and Bonnie Lauber.
