He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Julius Hornyak and Eleanor Hornyak (McGinty); his former wife Christine McCoy; his wife Doris Short (Hutchison); his friend Bill W.; his children, Debra Hornyak, Kathy Jones, Christine Curl, Shearl Johnson (Steve), Robert "Bob" (Pam), Steve (Sue) and Todd W. Short (late Christina); his granddaughters, Tonya Short and Tandy Szabo (Scott); his brothers, Julius Jr. Hornyak, Richard "Dick" (Maggie), Michael, John, Stephen Hornyak and Don Hornyak (Darlene); and his stepbrother John. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
