He was predeceased by: his sister Lila; and his daughter Sharon. He is survived by: his wife Edna; his sister Marj; his son Mark; and his granddaughter Lucie.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial gifts in honor of Lyle be sent to Peace Mennonite Church (9300 West Ridge Road, Elyria OH 44035).
