He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McAfee and Mary McAfee (Bir); and his siblings, Mike McAfee, Carol Balazs and Kathi Jo.

He is survived by: his former wife Daniela McAfee (Zbogar); his children, Adrianna McAfee of Dublin and Antonio McAfee of Tampa; his stepchildren, Peter McAfee of Archbold and Samantha Whaley of Fayette; his wife Karen Hodge (Kuhn); his grandchildren, Alessandra McAfee, Ethan Whaley and Madison Whaley; and his siblings, Robert McAfee, Patrick McAfee of Bryan, Paul McAfee of Fort Wayne, Phil McAfee of Los Angeles, California and Julie Harrold (Monica Vasquez).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Conklin Reed Organ Museum in Hanover, MI or to Hillsdale College.
