She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Jim" and Alma Beck (Nofziger); her spouse Melvin Leo Bateman; her siblings, Robert "Bob" Beck and Pauline Stauffer; and her brother-in-law Marlin Rufenacht.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Barbara Smith (Keith) of Irving, KY, Dorothy Phoenix (Michael) of Madison, MC and Leo Jr. Bateman (Dalene) of Goshen, IN; her siblings, James Beck (Charlene) of Archbold, William Beck of Pioneer, OH and Lois Rufenacht of Archbold; and her siblings-in-law, Milton Stauffer of Alma, KS and Laura Jane Beck of Archbold. She is also survived by five step-grandchildren, 3 great step-grandchildren.
