He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry King and Ida King (Weber); his wife Doris; his daughter Marlene Rupp; and his siblings, Freeman King, Dale King, Olen King, Orville King, Dorothy Lantz, Inez King, Delilah King, Martha King and Florence Nofziger.
He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Badenhop (Jim), Jerry King (Stephanie) and Kathy Rupp; and his son-in-law Jeff Rupp of Archbold. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be given to Mennonite Central Committee or Gideons International.
