He was predeceased by: his wife Diana Smith; his parents, Charles Smith and Irene Smith; his stepson Joseph Brandenburg; his grandchild Shane Angell; and his great grandchild Luke Grifka.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Smith (Sandy), Melane Baker (Brent) and Deborah Mathias (Chris). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
