It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Jay Ewing of Arcanum, Ohio, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd E. Ewing and Dorothy Ewing (Oswalt); and his siblings, Myron, Jack, Roger, Terry Ewing and Sandra Hemmelgarn.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Ewing (Shadoan); his children, Tina Cook (Brad) of Gordon, OH and Randy Ewing (Lynn Wiggans) of Arcanum; his sisters, Nancy Floyd (Lloyd) and Beverly Bowman (Harry); and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Ewing, Carmen Ewing and Ed Hemmelgarn. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home (1499 N Broadway St, Greenville, OH 45331). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
