He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleyon Shields and Elfreda Amelia Clark (Matthieu); his grandchildren, Seanathan and Kandi; and his brother-in-law Jerry Alexander.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Clark (Perry); his children, Kirk Clark (Annetta) of Castine, Kelly Spitler of Arcanum, Kris Clark of Arcanum, Kerry Fuson (Alva) of Laura, Jason Perry (Michelle) of Clayton and Matthew Strickland (Lauren Warner) of Arcanum; and his sisters, Marilyn Alexander of Stockport, Susan Gray (David) of Greenville and Linda Yeomans (Dan) of Greenville. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
