She was predeceased by: her parents, Augustus Brown and Laura Brown (Ressler); her former husband Howard Hanes of Arcanum; her siblings, Woodrow Brown (Leila), Loren Brown (Ioda), Myrna Barnett and Madge McCool (Charles); her brother-in-law Bob Parks; her nephews, Judson Klein, Dave Brown, Tim Brown, Dave Parks, Jack McCool and Mike McCool; and her husband Charles Burt.
She is survived by: her children, J. Scott Hanes (Mary) of Texas, Chris Hanes (Rachel) of Washington and Lynne Hanes of Bradford; her grandsons, Brad Hanes (Adrienne) of Pennsylvania, Matthew Hanes (Rachel) of Pennsylvania, Michael Hanes (Sara) of Washington, David Hanes (Heidi) of Washington and Ryan Hanes (Lina) of Colorado; her great grandchildren, Jude, Camden, Layne, Grayson, Alyssa and Abigail; her siblings, Phyllis Parks of Englewood and Rod Brown (Phyllis) of Arcanum; her nieces and nephews, Nick, Ron, Randy, Eric Brown, Dorn Parks, Sue Kemp, Anne Payson, Penny Smith, Letitia Locke, Sara Linderman and Elizabeth Maynard; and her friends, Mary Morgan, Jeannie, Chuck Matheny and Karen Brooks.
