He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas F. Adler and Marjorie D. Adler (Murray); and his brother Gary Adler. He is survived by: his wife Diane John; his son Nathan Adler; his brothers, Carl Adler (Janelle) of Columbus, Paul Adler (Laurie) of Columbus and Dean Adler (Janet) of Findlay; and his sister-in-law Sigrid Adler of Rochester. He is also survived by seven nephews and one niece.

Memorials may be made in John's honor to First Lutheran Church, 109 East Lincoln Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
