He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Vernon and Roma June Benoit (Martin). He is survived by: his spouse Dana Roca; his brothers, Charles Benoit (Marlys) and Roy Benoit (Teresa); his stepchildren, RaeAnn (Steve), Roca-Pickett, Annandale, Virginia, Caitlin Roca and Fostoria; his grandchildren, Rylee, Henry, Noah and Norah; and his brothers, Rod Patterson and Jack Armstrong. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
