He was predeceased by: his parents, Vira Smalley (Shrider) and Raymond Smalley; his wife Bruxie (Hicks); and his siblings, Paul, Bill, Ellen, Lodena and Nellie.

He is survived by: his children, Dale (Kelly), Raymond (Donna) and John Smalley. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; & 6 great grandchildren.

Memorials are to the First Baptist Church of Antwerp.
