She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Heck and Lois Heck (Dowding); her husband Homer Jay Sanders, Jr.; and her brothers, William and Richard Heck.
She is survived by: her sons, Homer III and Roger (Sondra); and her siblings, Marilea Volkert (late Mervin) and Steve Heck (Martha). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
