He was predeceased by: his father Harry H. Handschy; his brothers, Rex and Charles Handschy; and his friend Kathryn Bair. He is survived by: his children, Jerry L. Handschy Jr. (Lisa) of Harlan, IN and Brenda Handschy of Ashley, IN; and his siblings, Monte Handschy of Fort Wayne, IN and Carolyn Christleib of Fort Wayne, IN. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations in his honor may be directed to the American Legion Post #47.
