It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Dunwoody of Ansonia, Ohio, born in North Star, Ohio, who passed away on September 20, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Dunwoody and Mary Dunwoody (Nisonger); his great grandchild Will; and his sisters, Evelyn Meyer (Duane) and Ruth Dowdy (Carl).
He is survived by: his wife Janet Dunwoody (Kuhn); his children, Diann Dunwoody (Larry Irvin), Linda Cornett (Bob), Gayle Rismiller (Jim), Eric Smith (Darlene), Adam Smith (Candace) and Shelley Knick (Brad); his grandchildren, Darren (Maggie), Craig (Firouzeh), Mark (Janelle), Justin (Jamie), Jessica (J. P.), Jackson, Grayson, Alex, Katrina, Krystal and Destiny; his great grandchildren, Riley, Sam, Tate, Eli, Emily, Blake, Ian, Molly, Lily, Cooper, Hallie and Matthew; and his sisters, Ina Meeds (Bob), Janice Anderson and Joyce Dunwoody. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Masks will be required, and social distancing will be expected of those who are attending Jim's services.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, State of the Heart Care, or the Ansonia Area Rescue.
