He was predeceased by: his parents, Domenico Varanese and Cesira Varanese (Zarrella); and his brother Roberto Varanese. He is survived by: his wife Anna M. Varanese (Cirino); his daughters, Cesira Varanese (Kel) and Debora Forkins (Sean); and his grandchildren, April Maxey (Charles), T. Jay Moore, Marisa Flach (Jeff), DJ, Nina Dunning, Harley and Cailyn Forkins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
