He is survived by: his parents, Lester Berning and Karen Berning (Fullenkamp) of Sidney; his wife Rebecca (York); his children, Caleb, Jacob, Margaret and Katherine; his siblings, Sarah Shah (Dev) of Dayton, David Berning (Jacqueline) of Cincinnati, Jessica Hileman (Jeff) of Cincinnati and Gabriel Berning of Cincinnati; and his parents-in-law, Carl and Elizabeth York of Russia.
