He is survived by: his wife Bessie Mae Clauss-Thorp of Bazetta, Ohio; his daughters, Cynthia L. Jadloski of Crossville, Sally J. Emery of Vernon and Denise E. Klingensmith of Acworth, Georgia; his stepchildren, Ronald "Chip" Brainard (Billie) of Byron, Georgia, Patricia A. Daniels (Martin) of Bazetta, Donna M. Rulick (Charles) of Huntsville and Richard A. Thorp (Diana) of Hubbard, Ohio; and his siblings, Shirley Crislip (Warren) of South Haven, Michigan, Stanley Brainard of Titusville and Robert Brainard (Phyllis) of Palm Bay, Florida.. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
