It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard William Groot (Amherst, Ohio), born in Norwalk, Ohio, who passed away on November 5, 2018, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Lawrence Groot, Jr.; and his parents, Lawrence R. Groot and Elizabeth T. Groot. He is survived by: his spouse Betsy Lea Groot; his son Richard A. Groot (Wendy) of Wellington; his grandchildren, Felicia Groot and Richard Groot; his daughter Dawn Criswell (Patrick) of North Ridgeville; his granddaughter Robyn Cowger; his stepdaughter Natalie Wingard (Jerry) of Amherst; his daughter Emma Smith; his stepdaughter Mandy Waters of Lorain; and his sisters, Sharon Beko Groot and Linda Jamieson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces.
