He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Keith and Sarah Juanita Hannahs (Kupfer). He is survived by his wife Lucinda "Cindi" Carpenter, his sons, Tobey Carpenter (Regan) of Amherst, Keith Hannahs (Amber) of Vero Beach, FL, James "Jay" Hannahs (Shannon) of Parma, Ohio and Dan Michaels (Tessa) of Wooster; his grandchildren, Clay, Braden, Peytan Carpenter, Story, Moxie and Orion Hannahs; his siblings, Sue Landon of Killbuck, Ronnie Hannahs of Barnesville, Pam Gates (Bob) of Granbury, Danny Ray Hannahs of Cambridge, Ohio George Carpenter (Linda) of New Port Ritchey, Vicki Curren (Kelly) of Millersburg, Ohio, and his step-mother-in-law Bonnie Carpenter of Wooster, Ohio.

Also preceding him in death are, Archie Carpenter (father-in-law) and Birdie Carpenter (mother-in-law);

His siblings preceded him in death, Jim, Harry, Rick "Bill" Hannahs and Eugene Hannahs; his parents-in-law,
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Friendship APL, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035. Mike was born July 26, 1960 in Barnesville, Ohio and was the son of Roy Keith and Sarah Juanita (Kupfer) Hannahs.
