She was predeceased by: her father Glen West. She is survived by: her husband Herman Byrd; her sons, Gary Alheit, Jr. of Elyria and Cliff Alheit of Norwalk; her grandchildren, Noah Alheit, Ariana Alheit, Abigail Alheit and Madeline Alheit; her great grandchild Demetrius Watson; her mother Lois West; and her siblings, Glena Nutter (James) of Elyria and Doug West (Keiko).
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Lorain County Animal Protective League 8303 Murray Ridge Rd, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
