It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Slack (Amherst, Ohio), born in Avon Lake, Ohio, who passed away on January 20, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin L. Slack; her siblings, Charles Urig and Eileen Linden; and her parents, Melchor Urig and Lucille Urig.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald L. Slack (Cindy) of Brownhelm Township, Scott C. Slack (Joan) of Powell, Carolyn R. DeWitt (Joseph, Jr.) of Brownhelm Township and Todd M. Slack (Kristen) of Brownhelm Township; her sister Germaine Matus (Robert) of Wakeman; and her sister-in-law Catherine Urig of Amherst Twp. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.
