He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen Walend; his parents, Bernard Walend and Josephine Walend; and his brother Daniel Walend. He is survived by: his children, Jay Brady (Stephanie), Kim Brady and Tracie Brady (Mike Joyner); and his sister Joyce Moore (Roger). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
He was an active member of the United Autoworkers Union and made many donations to local veterans organizations.
