Helen Anna Wozarik Obituary
Born: June 12, 1929 Died: December 14, 2020 Helen Anna Wozarik was born on June 12, 1929 in New York City, New York to Joseph and Anna Simulcik. She passed away on Monday December 14, 2020 at the Cardinal Court Alzheimer's. Special Care Center in Strongsville. Helen graduated from Sharon Springs Central School in 1947. As a teenager, she moved to New York City while her family moved to Ohio.
She worked as a clerk at the General Electric Company for many years prior to retiring in 1978. Following her retirement, she moved to Ohio where she resided in Amherst Township for forty-one years. She enjoyed family, travel, the theater, gardening, and debating politics. Many commented on how they loved her New York accent.
Helen is survived by her brother Joseph Simulcik of Lorain, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-seven years, William, daughter Mary, born in 1955, and sister Irene (Ralph) Moorman. Funeral Schedule Due to the current pandemic, Helen's family will not be holding traditional funeral services at this time; a graveside service will be observed in Calvary Cemetery, 555 North Ridge Road, Lorain at 11:30 a.m. on Friday December 18th. (Those attending are asked to assemble at the main cemetery entrance.) Father Timothy O'Connor, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst will officiate.
