He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Essel and Mary Sam. He is survived by: his wife Efua Essel; and his children, Emmanuel (Laura), Kofi (Candace), Aba and Ekow. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; several brothers and sisters; and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
