He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Gardner and Elmer Gardner; his daughter Gladys Gardner; his wife Inez Gardner; his son Donald Gardner; and his grandson Jeremy.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Gardner, JoAnn Hettinger (Donald), Steven Gardner (Denianne) and David Gardner (Lori); and his grandchildren, Keith, Melissa, Nicholas, Andrew, Christopher, Kaitlin, Ethan, Emily, Molly, Bryan, Alex and Stephanie. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
