He is survived by: his children, Brenda Gilfillen, Tom Gilfillen (Alice) and Becky Gilfillen; his grandsons, Andrew Gilfillen, Joshua Gilfillen (Antoinette) and Daniel Gilfillen; and his great grandchildren, Cailee, Katherine, Erin, Cassia, Culann, Ainur and Amandine.
Memorials may be made to the New Richmond Christian Church in honor of John.
