She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Gambrel and Carrie Gambrel; her husband Gregory R. Houston; her daughter Patricia A. Idol; and her siblings, Ike Gambrel, Tom Gambrel, Earl Gambrel, Cecil Gambrel, Edna Greener, Opal McBride, Josie Perry and Hazel Priest.
She is survived by: her sister Dorothy Gambrel; her children, Donna Idol, Tony Houston (Leah) and Eric Houston; and her grandchildren, Pheonix Houston, Kendall Lewis and Pierce Lewis.
