Henry Dempsey Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Henry Dempsey Jr. of Amelia, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 2, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sr. Dempsey and Joy Fay Dempsey; his daughter Michele McCoy (Ed); his brothers-in-law, Dennis Hopper (Kimshy), Wesley Chambers (Lora), Butch Chambers (Heidi) and Jerry Chambers; his siblings, Mark Dempsey, Debbie Lung, Rosalie Miller (Bud), Darlene Hopper and Lee Hopper; and his sisters-in-law, Penny Deaton (Darrel) and Callie Daniel (Virgil).
He is survived by: his wife Carol Dempsey; his children, Steve Dempsey and Robin Couch (Ben); his grandchildren, Caleb Beck, Caitlin Beck and Abigail Couch; and his siblings, Lawrence Dempsey (Mary), Lummie Hughes, Brenda Loring (Ralph), Carol Painter, Doug Dempsey (Beth), Jerry Dempsey (Donna), Jim Dempsey (Tammy), Jenny Ramsey (Wilbert), Kenny Hopper, Sue Walker (Steve), Becky McClure, Randi Coppock (David) and Gayle Davis (late Ralph). He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, family members.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the E. C. Nurre Funeral Home (177 W Main St, Amelia, OH 45102). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at the Monroe Presbyterian Cemetery.
