She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hecker and Regina Hecker; and her husband Jeff Watterson. She is survived by: her sons, Rob Watterson (Erin) and Brad Watterson (Kristina Jessen); her granddaughters, Isabella and Sophia Watterson; her sisters, Karen Hecker and Janice Forgione (Sam); and her parents-in-law, Chuck and Judy Watterson.

In lieu of flowers family has requested donations can be made to any local foodbank in Gail's honor.
