He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hopkins and Martha Ellen Hopkins; and his siblings, Bev Hopkins, Jim Hopkins, Magnolia Bedard, Maude Mason, Laura Richards, William Hopkins Jr. and Kenneth Hopkins.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Hopkins; his children, Terry Hopkins (Patricia), Doug Hopkins (Kerri), Tammy Ramirez (Ramiro) and Denise Clark (Kenny); his grandchildren, Shawn, Jeremy, Emma, Aubrey and Riley Hopkins; and his great grandchildren, Riley, Emma, Hope and Ellie Hopkins.
