He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Swafford and Elsie Swafford; and his sibling Jewell Jones. He is survived by: his wife Mary Swafford; his children, Douglas Wayne Swafford (Melissa), Gregory Scott Swafford and Denise Roberts (late Gary Roberts); his granddaughters, Kathryn Swafford and Savannah Roberts; his siblings, Kathleen Spurlock, Cecil Swafford and Vernon Swafford; and his cousin Marvin Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
