He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph G. Porter and Myrtle R. Porter (McCoy); his brother Joe Porter; and his nephew Alan Smith. He is survived by: his wife Susan Porter (Welch); his children, David Porter (Mary) of Laurelville, Amy Sahr (Matt) of Stoutsville, Wesley J. Strickler of Amanda and Eric S. Strickler of Phoenix, AZ; his siblings, Jerry Porter (Anita) of Amanda, Betty Smith (Jim) of Stoutsville, Ruth Boll (George) of Chillicothe and Mary Anderson (David) of Amanda; and his pet Minnie. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
