It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Bates (Amanda, Ohio), born in Fairfield, Ohio, who passed away on October 18, 2018, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Merle McBroom; her sister Marjorie Miller; and her cousin Herb Hanaway. She is survived by: her parent Eva McBroom (Hanaway); her husband Ronald F. Bates; her children, Tom (Lisa) of Pickerington, Bill of Circleville, Cathy Metzger (Gary) of Columbus, Linda Hartley (Cloyce) of Circleville and Lisa Sacco (Mike) of Clearwater, Florida; and her sister Wilda Thompson of Amanda. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
