He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Peterson and Carol M. Peterson (Harrison); his wife Sue C. Knecht; and his siblings, Maurice, Ralph, Frank, Harold Peterson, Elsie Rose, Donna Jones and Mabel Day.
He is survived by: his close friend Erma Carlin of Bryan; his children, Debra Gordon (David) of Bryan, Doug Peterson (Juli) of Pioneer and Denise Van DeVoorde (Brad) of Pioneer; and his grandchildren, Wesley Crist (Emily), Brooke Rademaker (Matt), Brandon Gordon (Lindsay), Kurt Peterson, Kole Peterson, Clayton Van DeVoorde and Cady Bailey (Josh). He is also survived by several great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Floyd's memory to Elara Caring Hospice or Fountain Park Assisted Living-Memory Care Unit.
