Marie J. Shanks Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie J. Shanks (Alliance, Ohio), who passed away on December 2, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Scott and Dorothy Scott (Devers); her husband Edward Shanks Sr.; and her sister Sarah Baylor. She is survived by: her children, Carolyn McCune (James), Edward Shanks Jr. (Linda) and Richard Shanks (Linda); her grandchildren, Andrew, Christopher, Freda, Hope, Jennifer and Robert; her great grandchildren, Kameron, Fulva, Niyah, Liam, Rowan, Quinn, Ella and Caleb; and her siblings, Irene Stackhouse and Thomas Scott (Bonny). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home (75 S Union Ave, Alliance, OH 44601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
