He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald C. and Lucille R. Dawson, Sr. (Smith); and his brothers, Donald Dawson, Jr. and Thomas Dawson. He is survived by: his wife Sharon L. Focht; his daughters, Dawn Dawson of Englewood, FL, Kala Maehlman (Jeff) and Chelsy Middleton (Frank) of Noble, IL; his grandchildren, Amber Walters (Kent), Crystal Huber (Josh), Keaton Maehlman, Mason Maehlman, Destiny Middleton and Paige Middleton; and his siblings, Marion "Butch" Dawson, James "Mike" Dawson, Jonathan Dawson, Betty Morris, Ruth "Joann" Wren (Bruce), Sarah "Sally" Bowers (Wayne), Margaret "Peg" Day (James), Beverly McDonald and Kathleen Ruck. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
