Ellen L. Samples Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen L. Samples of Alger, Ohio, who passed away on December 17, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Basil Shaffer and Evelyn "Eva" Shaffer (Pickering); her husband James Samples; her children, David Shaffer and Debra Clay; and her siblings, Mildred Jett, Sonny Pickering and Buck Shaffer.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Miller (Walter) of Alger and James "Tim" Samples of Moundsville, WV; her grandchildren, Jessica Wise, Amanda Wickline, Travis Wickline, David Shaffer, Jr. and Christopher Shaffer; her great grandchildren, Cayden, Tristen, Elaina and Kingston; and her sister Norma Kessler of Avon Park, FL.. She is also survived by five step grandchildren.
