He was predeceased by: his parents, Hargis Nichols and Polly Ann Nichols (Keaton); his wife Dorothy J. Mayer; his great grandchild Nickencie Castle; and his siblings, Carl Nichols, Casper Nichols, Kelly Nichols, R. C. Nichols, Clistine Neff, Anna Marie Nichols and Kathy Long.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Castle (Fred Smith) of Foraker, Diana Paule (Reginald) of Harrod and Eddie Nichols Jr. (Sandy) of Lakeview; his grandchildren, Jason Castle (Chasity), Scott Stahler, Rebecca Delong, Randy Sickles and Kyle Nichols; his great grandchild Jayvin Castle; and his brothers, Elwood Nichols (Linda) of Lima, Wayne Nichols of Lima, Buck Nichols of Lima, George Nichols of Lima, Randy Nichols of Lima and Martin Nichols of Lima.
