It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Sams (Albany, Ohio), born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, who passed away on December 29, 2018, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Janet G. Cowman Lipscomb of Belpre and John R. Lipscomb; her husband Ralph O. Sams III; her children, Stacy Shephard (Emory) of Lancaster, Janet Sams of Little Hocking, Erica Swart (Justin) of Albany, Ralph O. Sams IV (Allison) of Amanda and Robert Sams (Angela) of Oak Hill; her grandchildren, Emory Shephard, Ashley Norris (Chris), Braden Shephard, Rylan Sams, Keaton Shephard, Emily Shephard, Daelyn Sams, Cameron Swart, Evan Swart, Brennen Swart and Ralph O. Sams V; her great grandchild Averley Norris; her siblings, Rhonda Sargent (Jeff) of Belpre, Lou Sargent (Phillip) of Cutler, Lori McNabb of Belpre and Mike Lipscomb (Sue) of Cutler; her parent-in-law Ralph O.; her siblings-in-law, Diane Romine (John) of Parkersburg, WV and Raymond Sams (Mike) of Belleville, WV; and her sisters, Judy Watson and Becky Jackson. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
