He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth Revah Willoughby and Ethel Smith Bauer; his wife Mona Siders Willoughby; his brothers, Tom and Roger Willoughby; and his grandson Garrett Barr.

He is survived by : his children, Keith Young (Christy) of Nelsonville, David Willoughby (Carol) of Athens and Lisa Willoughby of Carbondale, IL.; and his stepchildren, Cheryl Fields (Sherman) of Columbus, Paula Blake (James) of Columbus, Regina Williams (Larry) of Columbus, Jo Ann Uhlig (Rod) of Coshocton, Bill Siders (Kathy) of Columbus and Richard Siders (April) of Harrisburg. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and sixteen step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jagers & Sons Funeral Home (24 Morris Ave, Athens, OH 45701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
