It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bernard Allen (Albany, Ohio), born in Athens, Ohio, who passed away on November 5, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Emory Allen; his son Bernard James; his brother Emory; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ellen Jagers, Catherine Wogan, Jack Bolen and Harold Bolen.

He is survived by: his parent Frances Everhart Allen; his wife Loretta Stout Allen; his children, Bonnie Smith (Paul), Judy Ellis, Boyd Allen (Mary), Bruce Allen (Margaret) and Jill Harris (Matt); his grandsons, Jeffrey Brooks (Randi), Justin Brooks (Cassie), Chace Harris and Drew Harris; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Maddie, Cooper, Ella, Jackson and Whitlee Brooks. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
