He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys Parks; his parents, William and Florence; his sisters, Helena Reynolds and Louise Shade; and his son-in-law Jeffrey "Jeff" Thissen.
He is survived by: his siblings, Janet Richards, Clarice Nelson (John) and Paul Parks (Sandy); his children, Debra Thissen, Carol Parks and William, Jr. Parks (Claire) of Alabama; and his grandchildren, Joshua, Michael, Ian, Sarah, Rebekah, Caitlin, Katie and Samantha. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
