He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jones and Emma D. Jones. He is survived by: his wife Ramona; his daughters, Tamika and Helena; his sisters, Byrdine and Faye; and his close friends, William McAlpine (Pee Wee) and Roy Madison. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
