It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sebastian Matthew Appleby (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on May 6, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandfather Melvin; and his great-aunt Dale. He is survived by: his parents, Heather Matonak (Erik) and Andrew Smolen (Jane Davis); his siblings, Giovanni, Lucia, Damien, Juliana, Serenity and Corinne; his grandparents, Carol Carmack, Paul Appleby (Donna Jennings), Lynn Myers, David and Patty Porter; his uncles, Matthew Appleby (Crystal), Freddy Carmack, Andrew Appleby and Justin Smolen (Heather); his aunt Sophia Appleby; his cousins, Jacob Appleby, Paul, Mark, James Appleby and Everett Smolen; his great-uncle Ken Schoener (Nancy); and his friends, Alex Hockman and Mckenna Engelhart.
